  With spring right around the corner, we can look forward to rhubarb, artichokes, arugula, and one of my favorites, asparagus. This asparagus gratin recipe will go with just about anything, or is great just by itself. Asparagus needs very little help, especially when it’s in season. This asparagus is kicked up with plenty of cracked black pepper, the sharpness of Pecorino cheese, and creamy, buttery, brioche bread crumbs mixed with the crunch of Panko bread crumbs. The Best Brussels Sprouts!!

I created this Brussels sprouts recipe a few years ago, and it has been a hit at family holiday dinners. It’s also a great side dish for any event. Brussels sprouts have a bitter flavor, and this bitterness is usually what makes them unappealing. You have to do something to them to balance the bitterness out. The worst mistake I see is when they are served whole, with very little seasoning.
