“I have known Kevin for several years. I would like to take this moment to share a story of the time he came to my rescue. My younger sister aspires to become a chef. During her moment of confusion and finding her path, Kevin provided a way. My younger sister, whom I absolutely adore, was in limbo as many of us are at one time or another. I’ll never forget the look on my sister’s face when she would speak about feeling helpless, wanting—but being afraid she would not be able—to become a chef. I will never forget the day I picked up the phone and called Kevin. I was so embarrassed to disclose details of my personal life, but I was desperate and I wanted my sister to feel encouraged and know that there was a way. He invited us to come meet him in San Francisco at the restaurant where he was working at the time. “No dream is too big!” he told her.
